About
Founded in 1970 as the Massachusetts Sociological Association, NESA is a regional organization committed to the continuing improvement of sociological research, teaching, and practice. With approximately 150 members throughout New England and beyond, NESA provides a forum for the scholarly exchange of ideas, both contributing to and reflecting the most recent advances within the discipline of sociology.
The Association sponsors two conferences each year: a Spring Conference in April, and a Fall Conference in November. This year the Fall 2010 Conference is centered around the presentation of original research, while the Spring 2011 Conference will be held in conjunction with the 37th Annual New England Undergraduate Sociological Research Conference.
Because professional organizations draw their strength from their membership, we continually seek new members and the ideas and energy that they contribute. We welcome your participation. Simply visit our ‘Join Now’ membership page to sign up and become part of the larger community of New England sociologists today!
